What You Need to Provide for a Coffee Cart at Your Event

A mobile espresso bar looks effortless once it's running, but it depends on a few things being in place at the venue beforehand. Here's what The Wandering Dojo needs to set up.

Power:

The cart needs two separate dedicated 15-20A circuits — not just one standard wall outlet. If you're not sure what your venue has, ask your venue coordinator directly; this is the single most common setup question.

Water:

The cart runs on an onboard tank, pump, and accumulator, so no plumbing hookup is required at the venue itself.

Space:

We'll talk through your layout when you request a quote, so the cart fits naturally into your event flow rather than being squeezed into a leftover corner.

Weather:

For outdoor events, it's on the host to arrange a covered or indoor backup space in case of rain — the cart itself handles hot or iced service either way.

Staffing:

Smaller events are solo-operated; for larger ones, we bring on additional help.
