How Many Guests Can One Coffee Cart Serve?

One of the first questions we get from anyone planning an event: how many people can actually be served from one cart?

The short answer:

The Wandering Dojo's standard catering package is built around 50-100 guests over a 4-hour window, with one barista running the bar. That range covers most weddings, office parties, and private celebrations comfortably.

Why it's a range, not a number:

How many drinks a cart can pour in an hour depends on how concentrated the rush is — a wedding cocktail hour, where most guests want a drink in the same 45 minutes, is a heavier load than an office event where people trickle by all afternoon. Guest-count ranges also account for the reality that headcounts almost always shift after invitations go out, so quoting a range means a few extra RSVPs won't throw off your quote.

When to add a second barista:

Events pushing past 100 guests, or events with a hard, short rush (a wedding's cocktail hour, a lunch break at a large office), run smoother with a second person on the bar — one making drinks, one on cups and handoff. We'll flag this during your quote if your event profile calls for it.

Smaller events:

Not every event needs the full package. Baby showers, smaller birthday gatherings, and intimate ceremonies can be quoted at a smaller scale, with pricing that flexes down for shorter time windows and lighter guest counts.

The bottom line:

We'd rather staff it right than have your guests standing in line. Tell us your numbers when you request a quote, and we'll tell you honestly whether one barista covers it or a second set of hands makes sense.
